Flowers instead of Bars

The topic of the work is non-violent protest and ‘the power of weakness’. The work is dedicated to female journalists who were detained and imprisoned while reporting on the protests in November. I want to use this work as a metaphor for the female way of resistance. Women implement a different logic of defiance, a fundamentally different system of relationships. Flowers can be seen as a female weapon – beautiful and often fragile in appearance, but able to grow against a rigid authoritarian power system.
